A Calming Torrential Downpour

It's raining now, pouring actually. Bucketfuls of water are pelting down. The street's nearly underwater (and unlike SoCal, PDX usually doesn't suffer from this problem). Two bright flashes of lightning followed by loud rolling peals of thunder began this deluge.

I'm feeling calmed and smiling b'c of it all. In part it's b'c it means I've got a fab excuse for not being out doing productive stuff in the garden. In part it's a reminder of the power of rain and the nature of Nature: unpredictable, strong, healing and/or destroying (w/out any motive or intentionality).

I'm happy home at the Hive w/the kittenheads w/the prospect of a Pagan Jug Band outing in another hour or so.
