Wheeeeeeeee!
Jul. 30th, 2005 11:07 pmWhat a delightful day! The Wood-Elves Midsummer Feast went quite well: much feasting & imbibing & socializing & dart throwing & gaming (chess and Tolkien Jeapardy). Arrived early to help decorate, make a beer run, arrange chairs, and whatnot. Ended up as official photographer - took 92 pics (thank goodness for digital cameras...gotta get one myself one of these eons) - which we watched towards the end of the eve. Tons of other pics (approx 40 minutes worth from the past few years worth of events) were projected on the screen in the living room throughout the day & night. I managed to round up ALL the kids for some pics...it's like herding crickets. But I've known these folks since some of the kids were but gleams in their parents' eyes, so can bully and/or coax 'em away from their various interests for photo opps as req'd. Approx three (3) dozen folks partook of the festivities. O'morrow's back for pancakes & archery, but with a much smaller crowd, as most folks' schedules are far busier and more complex. (Far easier NOT having chillens.) Feeling really really good & happy.
