A Beachin' Weekend

lightfoote ("ALF") and I headed out to the beach on Friday and spent the afternoon/evening splashing about in the water and lounging about on the deck reading. Joining us after the Kitten Sundae concert that night were our hostess (with the mostest) ladydrakaina and her swashbuckling crew of Cerulian Sisters ladyaraia and shivana. Saturday began cool and cloudy, but then once we all began to stir - the smells of ALF's delicious Orange-Almond French Toast wafting over waiting/willing nostrils - it got nice and sunny and warm. The neighbors offered us use of their Floating Island and we spent several hours out and about Rocky Bay on a HUGE inflatable raft w/5 seats, 2 built-in coolers, a huge mini-swimming pool in the middle, and a tail for lounging half-in/half-out of the water. No pics of these adventures - and thank goodness no audio of the stories shared ;-), as bringing a camera along on that outing seemed unwise. Summarizing the rest: not quite enough wind for sailing, continued eating well - Chicken Cheese Enchiladas, Numbly Salad (of Doom?!), and Apple Crisp for dinner on Sat then scrambled things Sun b-fast and Big Bubba's Burgers (open Th - Fri and Random Weekends) and fries and shakes for Sun lunch, random outbursts of song-singing, playing Quiddler and the Pirate version of Grave Robbers of Outer Space (the exact name escapes me), reading on the deck, watching the tide go way out and come back in, figuring out how astronomy works, much laughter, overall having grand fun w/good people while relaxing heavily.
A huge thank you to Tiki House for looking after llamas, doggerals, kittenheads, the garden, &c. so we could relax w/out worrying 'bout anything - 'specially toblot for planting the purple potato (wait, wherezitat?!) and the whatzitcalled* (thanks for writing it down so I can tell wildwoosi 'bout the new neato thing in the barrel!) Oh, we'll letcha know if'n the aliens heed the request... ;-)
