It's Thursday...
Jun. 18th, 2009 10:58 am...so I'm up again at CopperMoon. Yesterday was a two (2) visit to SEA-TAC day. First I carpooled up w/
ferociousbcycad, which was great as always. We always end up having marvelous conversations. This one skittered and careened around various topics, including but not limited to: R-ships and r-ships, romantic love (good, bad, non-existence, what it means), intimacy, the Gold Standard and where/why/when it began (neither of us knows so 'twas mostly conjecture, although at least midly edumacated). We stopped off along the way to tour the Wolf Lodge 'n' Waterpark place out in/near Centralia and have lunch w/LJ-free M and one of her delightful twin daughters. 'Twas a good break in the drive.
Then after dropping him off at SEA, I headed North & East, visited Issiquah briefly (oops, got a tad lost), caravan'd and car-pooled w/
lightfoote and
wildwoosi, dropping the latter off at SEA-TAC so she could fly down to visit w/her 'rents and then attend her son's Marine Corp Boot Camp graduation (whoo-hoo to him for getting through this!).
The rest of yesterday consisted of watering the garden, haying the llamas, loving the doggerals, petting resident kittenhead Kess, grilling steaks and mushrooms and onions and steaming beets (and eating 'em all up, yum), watching (sorta) The Bee Movie, catching up quite delightfully. :-)
Today ALF's at work and I'm not. Hummingbird nectar's done and distributed into clean feeders. Soon I'll water the llamas.
I'm gonna head South eventually and after work we'll play racquetball. Dang it feels good to be playing semi-regularly again! Anybody else out there (local to PDX and/or B'vue/Seattle) play?
The weekend's gonna be fun, but long. WW arrives back from 1000+ miles Southward close to midnight Friday night. Saturday starts w/early b-fast and continues w/roaming and enjoying the Fremont Solstice Parade & Festival. Sunday I'm attending two (2) cool events: a friend giving/leading the Sunday/Solstice service (what's proper verbiage - this doesn't sound quite right?) at a local UU church AND then an hour or so South the handfasting of
jormundgan &
elocinnuala, after which I'll drive home to the Hive where my 'rents'll be visiting for most of the next week.
