This Past Weekend

mlerulesWas gonna post a bunch 'bout the past CopperMoonies long weekend at Neah Bay and give kudos to the Vorpal Bunnies (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
vismaya_viewer, nascar24_48 and LJ-free J) for leaving CopperMoon even nicer than we left it for them - you folks ROCK! 'Twas really lovely out at Hobuck's and we ate well (as usual ;-) Nasty coughs and mega-lung-butter generation kept me and lightfoote fairly quiet and indoors mostly, although I did see a couple of shootings stars on the beach walk we took the evening we arrived and we managed to walk out the surf's edge on Saturday. Luckily the view from the cabin kicked serious butt so we could laze about and still enjoy it. wildwoosi and when he arrived, rev_sysyphus, got out and about a fair amount though. They even got to watch the sunset from the Cape Flattery lookout, the NW-most point of the continental U.S. Pics to come. Don't really have so much to say 'bout all that though.
Still wrapping my head and heart around the death a few days ago of a friend, Kevin akaredefining_self, at way too young an age (34, of Hodgkin's Lymphoma). It's good to know he died surrounded by fambily and friends, and went peacefully at the end. Just re-read his last post about it being terminal and the LJ-message about his passing. Gonna sit here w/tears streaming down my face for a while, remembering the time(s) we spent together.
It boils down to this: You don't know what's gonna happen or when. Reach out and tell those you love you love them...and show them. Make and take and spend time w/them. Make it good time. Let go the B.S. Cherish whatcha got. If'n you don't like where you're at, get out and change it. Make a difference. Be true to yourself.
