Been here (SoCal) for over a week now. Had a glorious time w/loves and friends. Also took care of loads o' biz, getting ducks lined up in rows, knocking down others previously lined up, cleaning up messes, &c. Compartmentalizing lots. Feeling right now both very close to and very distant from folks...geography be damned. Oh, this ain't making much sense and I'm too knackered to make it clearer. Wanting/needing SOMETHING, not sure what. Engaging in physical activity where I accomplish things and see/feel/know I'm making a difference will likely help lots.

Saw Revolutionary Road tonight, so'm thinking about folks giving up - or drifting away from - dreams, passions, desires - in exchange for expediency, for meeting others' expectations, for ease...lots more to say/think 'bout along such lines. But sleep's calling, a few more phone calls in the a.m. await my attention, and I must finish packing.

dreams...
this is one of my favorite icons.

In reality, I do not regret letting go of my dreams.
THey have changed so many times, would I have ever been happy with them for more than six months?

Frankl says "Who are we to ask the meaning of our lives? Life asks us the meaning of ourselves"

somehow that seems relevant to me when I consider the dreams I gave up to be able to accomplish what is expected of me.

Interesting. Good thing you don't have regrets if'n they change frequently. Guess it matters more that you have dreams then that they stay constant. What's your current dream or set of dreams?

Here's SOMETHING:

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{Wiggly giggly hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Not sure if that's what *you* wanted/needed, but I wanted/needed to give them to you.

And will in person later today :)

::hugs::

I know it's not much, long distance and all, but know that they are waiting for you when you get back up north with a cup of tea on the side.

Thx so much. :-) I wonder 'bout this sorta thing, but've figured out that I'm living my dreams so'm quite happy 'bout that...as well as happy 'bout life in general. After a good long sleep w/loves at home (North - CopperMoon), I'm feeling SO much better and ready to begin anew - work around the place is the plan for the w'end, along w/seeing folks, 'pending on energy levels and interest. Oh, do you play billiards?

It's so wonderful how rejuvenating sleeping with loves can be?

I have ONE OF THOSE weekends. Tonight is pure playing. CSPC is having a fundraiser tonight that I'm going to called Bang for the Buck. Tomorrow morning I have to be at the church at 8:30am to do a meal for Tent City 4. Then I get to go home and perhaps catch up on some sleep (I was at H & M's house until 1am last night and will be out late tonight) and be Parent on Duty so Dillenger can get some homework done. Sunday morning is church and then a meeting and then Princekermit is coming over to commune with Dillenger and take our old TV and table.

Oh, and I haven't played billiards in a million years, but I used to like to...

Sounds like your plate's pretty full, but if'n you'd like to join us (and possibly M&H - not sure of LJ-handles, if any) for billiards in Monroe (can't remember the place's name) perhaps preceded by dinner (and darts?) at Eddie's, that'd be swell! (YOU = you & Dillenger & whoever)
