Ah yes, the Church of God-Zillah. One of my favorites.

For a while in high school I attended a church youth group at the First Unitarian Church of Kensington, which b'c of acronym issues changed its name to First Unitarian Church of Berkeley (regardless of the fact that 'twas located in the former community rather than the latter city).

Knowing the folks there, I imagine they enjoyed the resulting nickname.

Hey, PK, should we tell her about the plans for FUUC?

Eventually the plan is to branch off the Woodinville UU Church and start Freedom UU Church (FUUC). We tried a while ago to get a group started, but in that I was the only one putting any organizational energy into it, it fizzled. But there really are enough people to make it a reality, especially if the pagans I have at WUUC follow...

Yeah, if only I wasn't putting so much effort into keeping the Woodinville church up and running. But I really feel attached to them and want to see them through this transition before I move on. I have the support of the district exec, who is a friend of mine, so it's just a matter of time, energy and attention at this point.

Ah, but the best thing about the Church of God-Zillah is that Zillah is near Yakima and Yakima mean wine tasting!!! Let me know if you need recommendations (Tefft port is pretty darned good).

I do indeed - thanks! This is meant to be part of the great Walla-Walla wine-tasting (and postcard sending) Toad Rip...if'n it's good enough for Bugs Bunny it's good enough for me.

I'll have to look at a list of wineries and let you know what's worth visiting. My boss is a wine person (he has about 2,000 bottles in his home wine cellar, including some worth thousands of dollars...). He goes to Yakima a couple of times a year to taste and buy...let's just say that the holiday party is a blast...
