Fan-Boy Squee & A Technical Qx

I've seen Neil Young in concert more times than anybody I've seen live. It's been a mess of times. One time we snagged backstage passes at the Universal Amphitheater. Another time we ended up w/seats a few rows in front of David Crosby at the Greek Theatre (LA) for a marvelous evening show.

So, now after 20+ freaking years of work/waiting, it looks as if the Archives (v. 1 anyway) will finally actually come out (02/29/09, supposedly). Huz-freakin'-zah. But now the question becomes: regular DVD or Blu-Ray? Suggestions/tips/clues/hints appreciated, b'c I'm so not up on this sorta tech stuff.

I've seen the Dead many times in many forms and have quite a few DVDs of them and well let's say we have a few oncert videos here.

I have blue ray and love it, the picture is so much clearer. You are welcome to come over sometime and check it out.
