A Lovely X-mas

'Twas the first white x-mas I've had since Jr High when my l'il bro and I flew East for x-mas w/his dad in Princeton. After a morning of feeding and watering llamas, dogerals, Kess the cat, and the local wildbird population, loading the woodboxes in and near the house, shoveling the drive (and getting towed in the sled all the way up and back down the driveway by lightfoote aka ALF to plow a path for the car tires - WHEE!), we three (3) (ALF, wildwoosi aka WW, and I) took off for town where we saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (really quite good) then got take-away Indian food to eat back home at CopperMoon. All in all a lovely (and fairly traditional - for me at least ;-) x-mas day...'specially b'c it began w/maple sugar Santas: Bite They Little Heads Off, Nibble On They Tiny Feet.

O'morrow WW'll shuttle me 'n' ALF to Amtrak where we'll wend our way down to the Hive in Portland. ALF'll return on Sunday and I'll take the train back up on Tuesday so we'll all be together again for NYEve (although WHAT we'll do remains uncertain/unclear - what's happening that night? Then I'll fly back down to PDX on Sun, 1/4/09. After that ALF's down for a date w'end. A couple weeks later we three (3) head Southward to SoCal for a long w'end: visiting w/friends and fambily and popping ALF's MouseHouse cherry - fun stuff!

Mom's coming into LAX this evening and she and I'll have our own wee gift exchange and then there will be dinner and cuddling and maybe watching of Benjamin Button...hmmm...that'd be good.

Still wishing we were heading that way tonight...but fine with it in the end...besides angelloffyre is still stuck in Bakersfield due to bad roads...so, here's to not being stressed by that!
