Making glögg has become one of my holiday traditions. Rather than post it here, though, where I'll not be able to find it again easily next year (I just tried and failed to find it from last year), I'll post the link to the recipe where it now lives over at [livejournal.com profile] amazingepicurea, [livejournal.com profile] lightfoote's food community blog, a fine place for sharing tasty bits 'n' stories.

EDIT: Thx to [livejournal.com profile] blot for the link to how to make an umlaut, which although I couldn't figure out how to use, did provide me with a good example to copy and paste, which is what I've now done.

That's so funny, we have a traditional family cocktail too called Glug.

They are TOTALLY different recipes.

Funny.

Yup. Does your fambily's include red wine and an entire orange studded w/cloves? I've had that version before as well, when my Swedish boyfriend came over to the U.S. for x-mas w/my fambily.

On a Mac, the magic keystroke combo is Option u for lower case, Option v for upper.

Yes, I'm a geek.

Hmm, I think I'm doing it wrong. I cannot get the umlaut on top of the o: ¨

Dang.

that'd be grand! Thank you...if it's not too much trouble. You don't have to cater to my every whim...just being around you really is enough to fill me with joy.

see you soon.
