Yes, the Ackermonster has passed on. All the decades I have been going to science fiction conventions I spoke with him many times, the last being at the SFM at it's open in 2004. But wait, there is more! I noticed the photographer in the article was listed as Alan Light. I had known an Alan Light in the 70’s, editor of The Comic Buyer’s Guide (CBG – I did six covers for the magazine back then) and went looking for him on the web… Lo and behold I found the photo shoot…
