That was a good one. Maybe one of the ones that will sink home among the undecided and the inflexible, because Keillor has a great guy next door personna.
I will even overlook my own disdain for keillor to complement this essay. (Keillor stopped everything he was doing to yell at me for dancing too much when I was small)
Of course any body who gets the Briefing after the oath of Office may be in for a shock. There is a lot of info in the presidential briefs that are not known to most people and are for presidential eyes only. So we shall see. Anybody who thinks the Presidents decisions are easy ones or cut and dried is deluded.
We are in this "swamp" because of big government to put it in very simple terms and more big government is only going to cause more damage. I want the government "off my lawn!" and a socialist with communist tendencies is not going to do that. In the immortal words of JFK "Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country." Everyone needs to stop expecting the government to fix everything, every time they try to help it costs us ten times as much with horrible results. God forbid we get government healthcare, I've had and it sucks- just ask the baby who had 21 spinal taps done on him in one appointment because their so-called doctor wasn't a doctor, didn't know what she was doing, and was the "doctor" they were given to. There are dozens of these stories. And please don't try to tell me it will be different, I know better.
