Thoughts On Hobbies

Today, as we unloaded bulky weaponry 'n' armor at the Petting Zoo, LJ-free K smilingly posited FEATHERS as a good hobby. After shifting a 50 lb box of clay, a wedging board (solid PLASTER), and a pottery wheel from the Hive's basement into the U-Haul (for delivery to the Petting Zoo garage early o'morrow morning), I hereby state that I concur fully w/encouraging my friends to take up collecting feathers as a hobby. *winks in the general direction of sidhefire amongst others* ;-P

Next up: shower, wine, popcorn.

I didn't even get at first that you were saying people have a lot of stuff and it is heavy. I can only imagine how much of a pain it was to help Storm move, he who does medieval steel fighting, has at least one near full suit of plate mail, many swords, morning stars, shields, etc, as well as two Burning Man/Faire camps in his garage. Yikes!

I try to choose my hobbies carefully and how much accessories are needed for said potential new hobby often determines whether I take it up or not.
