Water!

Since I'm leaving o'morow for a week-and-a-half Toad Rip to places severely lacking in water (Las Vegas, NV & SoCal), I'm now posting pics from yesterday's delightful water-ful adventure for contrast. lightfoote and I canoed down from Sultan, WA to near Monroe, WA (where the 522 crosses the Snohomish River). Our route: put in at the Sultan River (just above Hwy 2) and rode it 'til it merged with and became the Skykomish which then merged w/the Snoqualmie and became the Snohomish (unless I have it wrong), but anyway, here're some pics of the takeoff and landing taken by the wonderful wildwoosi (since we both worried 'bout taking a camera on the trip in case something untoward happened): Clickie for River Pickies

Most likely not, as it'll be whirlwind SoCal jaunt to see AJ (and methinks a whole mess of fambily) and help her w/stuff and then to SD to visit a friend w/the Big Nasty C and then we're outta there to head back to Greener Climes. If some time opens up, of course, I/we'll give you a shout! *hugs*

Oh, and your VM msg was a bit murky so I couldn't tell WHO you were asking 'bout for F-Worlds...

just went through the river pics (it looked so tranquil) and happened to notice, did lightfoote lose his hat? We don't usually get to see his pate on sunny days! Oh, well, just wondering if some salmon, bear, or wild cat is now running around sporting his long-billed cap...

Ah, no. We'd both added layers when it got a bit breezy and overcast, but then the sun came out and it got considerably warmer but there wasn't a good spot to stop and shed layers so the hat came off to cool him down some. :-)
