The Surreality Persists

I'm in SoCal. Flew in on Wed. Flying out again (to SEATAC) on Monday. Even though I know dozens of people here and've spent decades living here, it really feels as if I'm on another planet. Imagery: BUBBLES. I'm existing in a tiny bubble filled w/just the people I've been interacting with recently and the folks at yesterday's mem'l service. Yeah, others exist, I've even spoken w/other folks and IM'd and e-mailed...but nothing feels real...everything's a tad hazy and surreal. Focus has been specific and other-directed.

Splashed about in the Pacific Wed night after a far-more-crowded than it should've been late night trip to LAX to drop a car off for more outta-town fambily arriving in town for the...they're not festivities...what're they? Deathtivities? blah blah blah more huge thoughts 'bout compartmentalization of lives swirling about here but I'm too wiped out to try to make sense

Today's it's finally quiet for a bit. Nobody's here but me 'n' AJ - and she's down for a nap now. Later on there's a fambily outing for Wall-E followed by dinner at cuz EP 'n' fambily's house. Dunno 'xactly what o'morrow (Sat) holds beyond continued logistics. The fambily members who came into town're starting to depart so various runs to various airports will continue for another few days.

I'm taking this Sunday for ME. Hopefully will get to visit w/1annie1 'n' fambily in the morning, then a spa-licious afternoon, and finally, a date w/hiddentass.

And soon now, in not so many days, I'll have a few precious days at the Hive. I quite like Portland. I even ostensibly live there. I'd like to spend some time there again while the weather's delightful.

Live music = one of my fave things. Not a single eye remained unmoistened last night.

Thanks very much - appreciated. If my Sun morn plans fall through (or even if'n they go as planned), if'n you were 'round late(ish) morning - only if'n you happened to be, don't plan on it b'c dawg only knows what'll endup happening, mebbe I could swing by to snag the pirate garb. If not, I'm back again in another couple/few weeks briefly.
