So, apparently you need eight (8) people to do a Maypole properly. Well, not wanting to splash cold water on the face of conformity (okay, mebbe meaning to do just that ;-), we three (3) (moi-meme, [livejournal.com profile] lightfoote, and [livejournal.com profile] wildwoosi) had a fine time of it. We did one last year with 5 people and a tree in [livejournal.com profile] mischeviousone's yard. It was fun.

I love this series. Ya'll look so happy! I wish we would have gone to something that day. *sigh* I miss circling and celebrating! I can't wait til [livejournal.com profile] rebelprivateer is home and up for celebrating things again!

Well, do realize that this was NOT done on Mayday itself, but rather a couple of weeks ago (a couple of weeks after the fact)...but at least it was still in May (barely). ;-P

Huzzah for your guy coming home in mere months!

What's even more fun/amusing is that the pole we used as the base is the former satellite dish pole from the former high-speed (HA!) internet provider. Huge fiascos involving mess-ups and failed promises and lots of negativity surrounding the company's repeated inability to deliver swirled around that location. We, however, have banished all that nonsense by encircling the location (and former dish pole itself) w/love, pleasure, goodness, and light (and ribbons - and a metric sh!t-ton of smudging first off)...and then topping it all off w/copper wire art and a mess of bird feeders. Transformation = Fun & Good & Wonderous.
