Not Even Gonna Try To Catch Up
May. 27th, 2008 08:36 am'Tis truly the Summer of Zoom. No time or energy to catching up w/everything on LJ (either reading or posting), so comment here if'n you think I need to know something. Quick tidbits: Had a FAB time in SoCal catching up and visiting with and seeing various good folks. Thanks,
yourmuse, for all the music which made the hours on the road pass much more swiftly and enjoyably.
Fast forward to this just past w'end. The CopperMoon llamas score for the previous two (2) w'ends ended up at seven (7) - sheared, inoculated, pedicured, and dentified (fighting teeth removed, as needed). This past Saturday,
lightfoote,
wildwoosi, and I - along w/the wonderful help of several non-LJ folks (R, J, A, J, and L) - managed to take care of all this for the remaining eight (8) llamas. Afterwards certain boy llamas were rewarded for being good during the process by being bred w/certain girl llamas. Pics of llama porn'll likely appear in the next set of pics posted.
Sunday morning we repeated the llama breeding process in hopes of making baby llamas appear on the scene approximately one year hence (gestation = 11 months, 3 weeks). Then we took a much-needed and deserved break by spending the entire afternoon out at the lake. A good neighbor has kindly allowed us access to the nearby lake, so we drove the cars out (about a mile away) and took turns in the kayak and two-person canoe. Far too many pics of the loveliness will come out before long. There're no houses on the lake. We went around and across it, exploring inlets and checking out beaver dams and enjoying the lovely weather w/
lightfoote providing canoe lessons.
So, in yet another perfect fit of serendipity, it turns out my l'il bro has just sold my Porsche and sent me the check. Now I've got a chunk of fun change on my hands that I want to use for pleasant transportation. I've decided to get a kayak for myself. Any tips, suggestions, thoughts about brands, types, features, &c. from those w/experience would be greatly appreciated. Lakes and rivers watch out - I'm onto you very soon now!
We finished off the w'end tying up some loose ends for May which we'd missed on the actual day itself (maypole, outdoor intercourse day, &c.) Then I headed Southward to the Hive mid-day yesterday, stopping off for the afternoon at Sidhehaven where I got to hang out w/some more lovely people before making tracks - and somehow avoiding what I'd worried might've been nasty 3-day w'end traffic).
Off to shuttle LJ-free L to Kaiser for a follow-up doc appt this morning followed by lunch and errands. Mebbe an outta town visitor will stop by this afternoon. I'm not holding my breath, although 'twould be nice. O'morrow's for further errands and stuff 'round the house and some relaxation and taking it easy. The w'end recommences on Thursday when I get to head up to the Vorpal Bunnies to hang out w/
vismaya_viewer for the afternoon then head out (most likely) for dinner w/her and
lightfoote and
wildwoosi before the CopperMoon clan carpools down to the Hive for the rest of the w'end.
Life continues exceptionally well and swell and grandly. Smiles wreathe my face, sighs of pleasure and contentment emerge from my lips on a regular basis, the kittenheads're swarming b'c they're happy I'm home w/them again...and the summer's just begun. *love* and *hugs* to all who want 'em...
