Today features fun w/yarn. Apparently there's a Portland Fabric Arts District. I'd passed by Knit/Purl a mess of times, thinking that my fibre-addict friends might like it. Well, ebony_sphynx and delerium3 certainly did! Now they're happily engaged in spontaneous knitting lessons, pattern-searching/choosing, problem-solving, &c. while I search for graph paper, make lunch and hot tea, and keep the kittenheads away from the yarn. In a while I may well nap, 'cause I'm feeling tired. I quite like having folks over to the Hive. I quite like exploring Portland more 'n' more.

How is the fabric in that area? I don't knit or crochet, but then I do use yarn for my doll's hair.

There're some good shops around, I gather. I don't really deal w/it much, 'cept for curtains and to take friends 'round.

I'm outta town the last w'end of May/1st bit of June, then busy on the Th, then flying to SoCal that Fri b'c we've got a bridal shower to attend on Sat, then I'm spending Sun w/J, then flying back on Mon or Tu, which pretty much wipes out early June. As I mentioned before, I'm trying to keep June/early July open, at least until I find out when the other (more *ahem* exciting/interesting) bridal shower will take place. Do you have any thoughts/ideas about when/what'll be happening along such lines? Dunno whether you know Rh or've chatted 'bout it w/t'other bridesmaids or what?
