Embracing the Dark - Candlelit Thoughts
Mar. 15th, 2008 09:52 pmShadow dancing, shadow wrestling. Learning about myself by watching and accepting it all, w/out discouraging its emergence, by letting it out, looking at it, holding it in my hands as it writhes with bitterness and passion rooted in fear of displacement. Embracing the precept that "nothing lasts forever" while realizing it's still possible - desired even - to grab hold of possibility, to consider opportunity (even if not acted upon), to live fully, richly. Is it possible and/or wise to have one's cake and eat it, too?

I prefer "life is long" as a motto - and yes, I know intimately how young we can die - and yet... life *is* long - especially when we are *aware* and *involved* and celebrating...
*grin* you caught me on a good day; this really is my world view, but it's easier to *say* on a day like today :-D
*hugs* and *chocolate* - enjoy the wonders!

Wise? Is there anything wiser? If it is given that nothing lasts forever, then to live fully, richly both having and eating one's cake as the metaphor goes seems to be the best choice one can make. Seize the moment and BE all you wish to be, EXPERIENCE all you desire...as they say..."this too shall pass"...yet the memories shall remain yet a little while longer. *I* say savor them perhaps as much as the which they are created ;)
