This one's hilarious: http://www.metaphysicalzone.com/types/ISTJ.shtml as it claims ISTJ's do not effusively express emotional warmth and don't like threats to time-honored traditions, which just ain't so...double negatives getting in the way. Then again, if the time-honored traditions are of your OWN making versus those set down by other/larger/societal groups, maybe it works.

Actually, emotional openness IS difficult for me - I have always been ahunted by a reputation of reserve - I was considered an Ice Queen in high school (I was shy). I ahve to be comfortable with people and situations before I let down and open up - but LISTENING I do with acumen!

And tradition - it's tradition in my family to be accepting and open and honest and fair - discrimination is abhorrent. So, yes, I do hold to traditional mores! ;)

I, too, once was shy...although everyone who knows me now scoffs at the very idea. I wait 'til I comfie to open up, but in the meantime I'm willing and able to talk and listen. And my fambily tradition matches yours along such lines. Nice to know more good people.
