Breaking LJ Silence

Dang, that was hard to do. Feels as if I've been holding my breath, turning blue, falling over...WHEW! Just wanted to tell hiddentass before announcing it more broadly and finding time w/him on the phone ain't always easy, what w/school, parenting, work, life, and whatnot... :-)

IT = very sweet, very exciting, very wonderful, very cool, very honored, very pleasant, very awesome, very marvelous, very great, and more superlatives deleted news b'c there really aren't words 'nuff to convey how it feels to have be asked to be part of such a great intentional fambily (CopperMoon) by such good people (lightfoote and wildwoosi, who'll be affirming their feelings for each other with a handfasting come Autumn Equinox). New fambily ROX! Mind you, nothing's really gonna change logistically for now. No rush, no hurry, no worries...we shall see what happens and how things go.

Having both LF & W down this past w'end was loads o' fun. Splitting the difference driving-wise worked really well. The w'end began last Thursday when I headed up to Sidhehaven in the afternoon to nab delerium3 for lunch in Olympia (since Vorpal Bunny vismaya_viewer came down w/the plague so wasn't available to play with after all). Eventually I wound up chez Vorpal Bunny Clan where LJ & W had ended up and left their car for the w'end. We snagged ztarman and took him out for sushi in Tacoma to celebrate his (mildly belated) b-day. (Sorry to miss the rest of the VBC, but the plague wipes folks out regardless of plans 'n' desires.) Then I shuttled LF & W down to mi casa in Portland...much music and discussion keeping us busy and awake(ish) on the mini-toad rip.

Friday's highlights: fab thrifting at the GoodWill SuperStore w/fashion show fun afterwards (*sigh* and *growl* at memories: oin, dulay, ah, um...), walking down Hawthorne Blvd, checking out shops, dining at Bridgeport Ale House, becoming fambily...

Saturday's highlights: walkies amongst trees at Hoyt Arboretum, frisbee tossing/crashing, picnicking w/affirmations of in love-ness, Across the Universe (finally) - thx shivana for bringing it along, making and chowing down on cheese fondue w/lightfoote, wildwoosi, and shivana, playing Zombie Fluxx (finally), staying up 'til the wee hours chatting away 'bout this, that, t'other (or was that Fri night?)...

Sunday's highlights: ecstatic dance - wow, what an amazing experience (thx dwights for the turn-on...see ya' o'morrow night, when I return w/Al), lunch at Pied Cow, then shuttling back to VBC (w/more good conversations) to drop off LF & W, and finally returning home to bask in the glow of the w'end.

Now I'm enmeshed in logistical juggling acts re: my next set of adventures...even as I find myself smiling hugely and widely at the happiness and joy that suffuses my life...

Thx. Good qx...affirmation of connection 'n' mutual respect, of where I'm/we're investing time/energy, of a certain level of commitment to common goals...more meaning to come as time goes by and specifics expand (and perhaps one day joining them in a living situation).
