I see a lot of voicemail-that-everyone-can-access like things going on in LJ. Kinda like a persistent party-line phone call.

Hadn't thought of it like that, but yeah, it ends up amounting to that at times. Sorta also like a bulletin board where folks end up adding to the discussion as they read and feel like it...but this analogy's been used far too much, so forget I mentioned it. Or not.
