Have hunted & gathered most food & bev for the w'end. Next up (after a break): hit the garage for camping gear. Oh, yeah, still need to clear the junk outta the car so there's a chance of everything fitting inside. THIS is precisely why I have a largeish vehicle: so I can car-camp and take along all that I need, nay, want, damnit! (Not to mention help friends move & haul sh!t.) And should think more 'bout how to decorate camp: leaves & such work well for WoodElves. 'Twas in some ways easier when I went as an Orc(ess), as then all that was req'd was a mess of black fabric, misc body parts left 'round camp, a plate of red sprinkled ear & nose shaped sugar cookies, a pinata dwarf or two (fun for playtime). ** Just came up from the garage. Shudder. Will return later, when braver. Forget just how many parties I've been to since last year's Middle-earth Festivities. No need for plastic champagne flutes this time 'round. Packing up costumes, washing last minute bits, finding stray mug-holders (Faire gear works triple-time for various events throughout the year), trying to remember to pack pewter stuff...so much to do to get ready: wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
