Tripping The Light Fantastic

One year ago today the landlord in Santa Monica told me that a buyer was coming to look at the property. It's a huge part of what led to my move to the PacNW. Now I'm back in SoCal for a visit, staying in very familiar territory, w/fambily in a home where I've been welcome for 30+ years (prolly more like 42, but I was too young to remember the earlier visit(s)).

I've gotten to see various friends recently, old and new, treasured all, and know I've got more elsewhere, a bunch of whom I'll see upon my return (or not long thereafter).

In an alternative universe somewhere not so far away, I've got kids. Here, in this one, I've got cats. Well, not here, close to 1K miles away in fact, but they're there.

Sometimes our decisions have huge rippling effects, even if they seem small at the time.

I don't know where I'm going. I'm not fully sure of where I've been.

What I do know is that I want to dance more.

Feeling: a bit bittersweet...pleased...uncertain...mellowly joyful...

I think we all need to dance more. The next book on my list to read is Dancing in the Streets it's about collective joy.

I still have you penciled in on my dance card to spin nakey in the snow with me. Of everything and nothing else, I'm also uncertain. Going with the flow has floated me on here so, so far, so good. Looking forward to seeing you soon. *hugs*

Definitely looking forward to getting out and moving it with you on the dance floor! Keeps me fit, and heck, since I've been dancing regularly the darkness doesn't get to me nearly as much as it used to.
