SoCal Friends: Thinking/Planning Ahead

Quite likely gonna be in SoCal for around a week in late Spring/early Summer, said week to include Mother's Day (Sun, May 11, 2008) and likely also another day at RenFaire on Sat, May 10, 2008 (assuming some version of and/or alternative to Southern's happening then). Much of this next SoCal jaunt (Fri, 1/4/08 - Th, 1/10/08) requires mondo-fambily stuff so I ain't gonna see as many of you as I'd like so the next chance (unless you come visit ME!) will likely be in mid-May. OH man... I wish I could stow away with my Capn' in your luggage... dang. :P

We can't do a trip this coming spring, but dangit, we're saving for at least the spring after... we went to Disneyland for our first 'together' vacation... and I SO wanna have another. that would freakin' rock. >:)

Of course, this time, I wanna show him all those other spiffy things down there, not JUST Disneyland. ;)

What fun the D-land trip must've been! So, what else do you enjoy doing down yonder given your druthers?

Oh gawd, it was a DREAM. :)

Of course, i'm an amusement park junkie (just for all the neat stuff, not a coaster fan or anything) so I'd love to make the 'rounds'... especially Knotts, since I used to live right within walking distance from it.

But more interesting, would be a trip to the Natural History Museum... I used to hang out there, and I would LOVE to visit it again! (oh the stories! I have so many awesome pics too.. I could spend a whole day there.)

I'd also love to spend time exploring the 'new' La Brea museum/facilities... I used to volunteer there as a youth (early 1980's) and do work there... it was a blast! (the poor 'Cuda still carries my parking permit on the bumper, I think! hee!) I would love to see what they did with it when they rebuilt.

I'm told there are Art Museums that are 'must visit's' too... but by the time one hit all the parks, the two natural history museums, and maybe dinner out someplace yummy (okay, if I could do /anything/ else... there's a moraccan restraunt. way unaffordable, but I went once, and would LOVE to take the Cap'n again... it's called the Dar Maghreb ...and it's just.... *SHUDDER* Made of Win. :) but that wouldn't happen... i'd still reccomend it, if you COULD!! Make reservations like... 6 months in advance. I kid you NOT.) ...there wouldn't be much time for anything else, by the end of all that... but still... ;)

LOTS of fun places, if you had forever, or lots of moola... >:)
