Apparently Thanksgiving's bout w/illness has caught on as a tradition, only now it's a bad flu. My plans for joining the gang in Carmel've been cancelled, quite annoyingly as it's my l'il bro's first ever time down yonder. Oh, well, there's no better place to be sick then at Mom's house. O'morrow'll be Chinese food and a movie (another time-honored tradition) followed by a full proper x-mas (fka #2 now my #1) on 12/26/07 w/fambily and friends.

Yesterday's travel went quite swimmingly. I napped at the airport then was treated to a spontaneous outburst of banjo 'n' mandolin music before boarding the flight. Passed the time flying quite nicely chatting w/the guy sitting next to me w/amusing life overlaps (marine bio major at UCSC who now manages rental properties in HI).

The w'end's Yule/Solstice celebrations chez Vorpal Bunnies and CopperMoon went amazingly well and I had a grand time.

Happy happy to you all...and to all a good night.

Awww, hope you make a speedy recovery. I had a bit of what I am hoping is 24 hour flu. Safe and happy travels and feliz navidad.

It was great talking with you this weekend. Banjo & Mandolin music is always good, this is why I love so many celtic type bands.

It was great celebrating Solstice with you. Enjoy your Chinese food and movie tomorrow; we intend to stay in our jammies at home too. Feel better soon. *hugs*

Chinese food and movies! Yes! I tried to explain the concept of Jewish/secular Christmas to a coworker and she was baffled. "But why would they eat Chinese food if they're Jewish?"

Yes, I suppose sometimes those concepts can be hard to grasp; being 'Pagan' we have often gone out for Indian on secular holidays. I guess from that viewpoint we would need to be Hindu to do so. :o)
