This was a really intersting article. The comment at the end of the resistance form the Gay and Lesbian community probably has a lot to do with an appearance of the polyamoury (as described) is exceedingly hetrosexual and I'm sure some in the same sex marriage equality movement see this as "another attempt" by the "straight community" to make legal same sex marriage even harder to come by. Many in the gay community beleive that the only way to get same sex marriage equality is by same sex couoples being as "monogamous" as the hetrosexual ideal or we (gays and lesbians) fall victim to the "look at all the perverts wanting special rights" claims.
OK, I don't really mean to focus on one comment from a longer article. I really do think its great that the poly community is using the "it takes a villiage to rais e a child" argument, which I think may be the quickest way to sociatal acceptance.
