Remember after [livejournal.com profile] sidhefire's retirement party, when we wanted to see Mt St Helens but snow interfered, and we saw the Yak of Yakima and later on jointly hallucinated about a Stonehenge-like structure off in the distance as the sunlight faded away? Well, turns out it's really REAL! I'd heard as much, but now thanks to [livejournal.com profile] quetz, here's the scoop on't. I wanna go back one day and check it out.

I went there once a long while back as a boy sprout. The museum is fabulous too.

I'm a big fan of Rodin's sculptures and the chess set collection they have intrigues me, so I'll likely to check it out one of these days.

That's been on my 'to see' list for some time; there's a Columbia River loop that has quite a few cool stops along the way with that being one of them. Mt St Helens is another one on that list as well; maybe we would like to add that to the possibilities should your schedule allow a hiking excursion in the future. ;o)

Loads o' hiking 'n' waterfalls on the Columbia River (OR side, anyway). I've begun exploring 'em but have many more to visit/wander/experience! Mt St H is a blast. I posted a few pics from my trip w/the 'rents and D3 earlier this summer. (http://mlerules.livejournal.com/469489.html#cutid1)
