Saturday: 'Twas A Bipolar Day
May. 8th, 2005 06:35 amNot extreme. Not agony & ecstacy. Not the best of times & the worst of times. Far more mundane. 'Twas really good in certain ways. f'rinstance - I do so love group singing. Even though I suck, I enjoy it tremendously. And the day started off exceedingly well, with a huge bouquet of beautious fleurs left in the wee hours by the Boy: red roses, a rubrum lily, some purpley bits. And yet the day was marred by what's unfortunately become almost routine and nearly expected, engendering all too common feelings of frustration & annoyance. Nobody's fault, really, but the combo of failure to communicate, miscommunication, and yet another failure to connect really sucked (in a bad way). It didn't help that I strapped myself in nice and tight and cleaved quite well, IMHO, w/out a lick of appreciation. Pun intended. Le Sigh.
Am working on focusing on the positive...and on learning lessons...and coming to conclusions. Sometimes I know what's right, even if it ain't much fun at all. Another sigh. This one compounded* of realized knowledge, sadness 'bout what just ain't possible, and reluctance to continue bashing my head against a brick wall. Summing it all up (and not perfectly, but at least somewhat): the Dr John song "Right Place Wrong Time." The opposite works, too.
*comprised? Good grammarian needed
