ferociousbcycad, watching the DCI World Championship Quarterfinals broadcast onto the big screen (Lloyd Center Cinema) live from the Rose Bowl. Imagine if you can, a lively combo of marching band w/ drill team, Busby Berkeley-inspired musical numbers (or so it seemed to this observer), synchronized swimming sans H2O, and modern dance. I had a grand time. The audience of approx 200 (in the theatre, there were thousands at the Rose Bowl) helped, as their passion, excitement, and enthusiasm was contagious. Who knew?
