Another five (5) hour slog home from Seattle. At least it's a lovely drive so I got to enjoy the views of forests 'n' all even while supposedly driving. Also got to watch the Blue Angels overhead again through downtown Seattle. This trip should, however, only take three (3) hours, w/mebbe an extra half-hour for traffic nonsense. This zoom along at 75 mph for 4 minutes then screech to a complete halt for 10 freakin' minutes then repeatedly stopping & starting ain't cool. It took 3 flippin' hours to go the first 100 miles. I left at 1:30pm which should've avoided traffic nonsense. I'm worn out and on the verge of mega-cranky. Therefore, I declare myself DONE.
Re: returning to WA o'morrow. We shall see o'morrow how I feel. The thought of another trip like today's does not bode well for either my sanity or my temper. I may choose to avoid WA until September in an effort to lower blood pressure and reduce chances of me hitting something hard and/or shouting loudly and/or swearing and/or crying.
EDIT: Oh, this was on the heels of a hellishly slow 5-hour drive TO Seattle on Th, followed by a less-than-fully-relaxing drive through much beauty, as the floating bridges on I-90 were closed. Got to see plenty of fancy Blue Angel-ness as we joined all others crossing Lake Washington on 520.
