Busy day prepping for trips 'n' travel mixed w/house hunting and luggage shopping w/outta town guest LJ-less L from PHX. Topped it all off w/dinner (wild boar short ribs - yum) at McMenamins Edgefield - what a fab place! Next up: sleep (soon). Hot (triple digit) tiring day (cooling off now, mercifully) w/much muchness going on for the next couple of weeks.

It's always good getting together w/L. Insights blaze. Not sure whether they're ready for prime time. Not sure I want 'em available for general consumption. So, donning the crypto helmet w/vague set for somewhere 'tween 6 and 8.5, here goes:

I want to read The Ethical Slut. Social conditioning is becoming more apparent. Finding dealing w/issues that arise therefrom becoming easier. Transitions can occur. What do I need and want in a r-ship? Would I recognize it if'n it were to bite me on the butt?

The Iraqi Army has what is called heat of the day, (I really do feel your pain), and in the interest of improved international relations my team has adopted the practice of quiet time from 1200-1500 (basically a nap from noon to three with an additional hour thrown in to get yourself ready again so 4 hours). It is great.

I actually recommended that book to someone since I know a lot of people toss it around, but Ive never actually read it. Did I think I saw you post about coming down for LoJ? I'd love to see you if so! (Im not going to LoJ tho)
