Minor Tech Rant
Jul. 10th, 2007 11:14 amMy new printer's been working just fine. I've only ever printed in B&W and made only B&W copies. This morning it decided to stop working (e.g., refusing to print anything or copy anything, even B&W), because all of a sudden it's decided to take umbrage at the color cartridge, claiming it's not right for the printer. WTF? I've got spare B&W cartridges, but not a spare color one (since I use it so infrequently it didn't make sense to always have an extra on hand since I figured I'd pick one up were I ever to use it extensively). Anyway, I got a brand spanking new color ink cartridge, stuck it in, and voila, now I can print and copy in B&W. Well, presumably in color, too, but I don't need to so haven't bothered testing it beyond the alignment page it does when a new cartridge gets installed. Stupid device.
