Been away for the past couple of days. Breitenbush was lovely and peaceful. Pics to come (later, I promise). The place is isolated w/no cell reception, no public phones, no internet access. Really quite pleasant. But the drive back to Portland seemed odd. Nobody, I mean NOBODY was on the road. We should've hit some rush hour traffic, but the roads were empty. I tried tuning into a local station (still haven't figured out the best ones to listen to here yet), but for some reason I couldn't get any reception. Meanwhile, as we got closer to Portland, we could hear some really loud booming noises, over and over again...and the sky seemed to glow all red and orange (like CA during wildfire season). Where have all the people gone to and what's w/the loud noise. Wait, a friend from outta town just stopped by...
EDIT: Forgot to mention in the rush to head out to view houses w/my friend from PHX (who's now withdrawing the house offer after getting back the engineering reports)...Oddness Explained
