So, I may well have to contend with Portland's rush hour traffic o'morrow evening as I head North to WA on my way to SoCal. Silver lining: it'll be good practice for - and prolly nada compared with - next Friday's (5/18) adventure as I drive in Washington D.C.'s evening rush hour traffic from BWI to Annapolis. Whoo-hoo.

Um, I am sure you no this but Washington isn't actually on the way to SoCal....

Just making sure we're all paying attention?

Well, yes, this fact has entered my mind. But tradition trumps common sense, yet again. This time I've got a good reason, too. I'm picking up my cuz/driving buddy from WA before heading Southward. Have I mentioned that I don't always make sense?

I figured as much (the good reason not the the not making sense--but that is noted for future reference!)

And let's not forget my lesson from last Winter in Big Bear: the shortest route between two points in snow is a large hole. ;-P
