very good friends o' mine adopted a new l'il girl recently...and yesterday, on day 10 of having her home, on the very last day that the birth mother could change her mind and take the girl back, she did so, leaving them devastated. and getting the girl was very last minute so they had to adjust (cancel or at least postpone) their 2 week trip to Eastern Europe which was to have began last week (fingers crossed that i'm off a week and they could leave o'morrow...but i don't think so). life sux sometimes. i'm wishing them well in grieving for their loss...and wishing them hope in trying again and succeeding.
