I'll share a little life lesson that I learned the hard way the first time I encountered hail -- up in Alaska while visiting my sister.

Don't run out to play in the hail!

Hmm. I've actually done that several times without coming to harm. Did you have a terrifying moose encounter up in Alaska that coincided w/the hailstorm?

Perhaps Oregon hail is lower velocity than Alaska hail...
