Laundry & Conversation

mlerulesToday's major goal was to do laundry. Since I have yet to procure and install my own washer & dryer, I'd geared myself up for visiting yet another laundromat. Thank goodness for IM! ferociousbcycad led to his offering me the use of his casa's laundry facilities which increased the day's enjoyment a thousandfold. I headed on over (he's just 20 minutes away...yet in another state (WA) - sorta mind-boggling) and did laundry whilst chatting marvelously about this that and the other. 'Twas a really really good day that merged into a fine evening as he very kindly included me in his night's activities.
Got to check out another three (3) McMenamins today: we enjoyed a great late lunch w/multi-beer sampler (yum!) at McMenamins on the Columbia w/a lovely view on the waterfront in Vancouver, WA, a quick tour of the Kennedy School (a marvelously funky elementary school turned hotel/brewery/bar/movie theatre/meeting place) where he was supposed to meet up w/friends, and then finally McMenamins Tavern & Pool (I believe) where we DID hook up and hang out w/a mess of folks. Got lost on my way back home from the last place but recovered eventually and'm pleased to be getting to know my way 'round the city more 'n' more every time I'm out and about.
'Twas a fine productive day in more ways than one. And now: sleep beckons, big time.
