Random Thoughts

mlerulesAs boxes empty I'm left w/heaps 'n' yards of cardboard and keep envisioning building a huge fort up in the attic w/it all. (I may well do something along these lines.)
My bathroom walls look like the top of a cake decorated w/1-2" of lemon frosting. (I quite like it.)
It might be time to fulfill my long-held dream and collage (or at least stick up) my posters on the ceiling/walls of the attic/office/extra guest space. Or mebbe it's mural-time. The landladies say it's my place and should reflect my personality so I should paint or do whatever I like. (Haven't looked into whether I'd need to return it to "normal" upon leaving, which might tame these impulses...or NOT.)
I'm quite looking fwd to getting back here next week to continue creating my new home. WHEEEE!
Today: unpack more, repack for return journey, return rental car, fly to SoCal, dine at Rajun Cajun (must needs find good a Cajun restaurant in PDX), play with and comfort the kittenheads.
Sat: blaze around taking care of things (returning cable modem blah blah blah), do laundry, Au Revoir.
Sun: last minute stuff (lots left to do!), final pack.
Mon: get AJ and drive up to Dunsmuir Lodge w/kittens & stuff
Tu: drive to PDX and introduce the kitties to new digs.
Wed: continue unpacking and settling in (and fun stuff).
Th: more of the same.
Fri: take AJ to airport so she can return to SoCal.
After that, I have no plans to be anywhere in particular for a month and a half - PHEW! Have decided to skip AZ RenFest this year. That made it onto the schedule (tentatively) back before the whole moving thing kicked in and it's just not on now. Houseguests'll start descending pretty quickly though, which pleases me. WHEEEE!
