The Heat Ain't Helping

SoCal appears caught in the grip of a nasty-@ss heatwave. If'n it's 86 here in Santa Monica, I dread to think what life's like East of the 405. Current weather in PDX - 68 degrees. Far nicer (even if wet).

It rained yesterday and then without warning it was a brilliantly blue day. That is how it is up here. Everyone was fretting over this bit storm that was supposed to hit that stretched from Hawaii to the North West but I think it was called due to rain. And then the snow level which was supposed to be at 9000 ft. dropped to 5000 ft. -- no huge consequence for us but it made the hills really lovely. There are a lot of amazing flowers out right now. There are early spring flowers and then the strange ones that bloom in winter.
