just last night I commented on the oxymoronic nature of a store labeled "X's Nutrition" that was filled with nothing but bottles of pills. It's so wrong...

My buttons were pushed when I entered the new CVS Pharmacy (which has taken over my former fave 24-hour Sav-On where I could ALWAYS find whatever I wanted, whatever is was, anytime) and was confronted with row upon row of CHEAP-@SS CANDY, along w/bottles of Horny Goat Weed ("Nature's Aphrodisiac") with which no self-respecting pharmacy should clutter its shelves, IMHO:

And if'n you haven't read M Pollan's A Botany of Desire (http://www.amazon.com/Botany-Desire-Plants-Eye-View-World/dp/0375760393/sr=8-1/qid=1170373051/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/105-5873615-2080467?ie=UTF8&s=books), I highly recommend it. I understand his most recent book (The Omnivore's Dilemma) is good, too, but I haven't read it yet.

Thx, but I may well borrow it from my uncle who lives up in the PDX area. My mom 'n' her hubby gave it to him for his surprise 80th b-day back a month or so ago. He's a Master Gardener and I want a good excuse to hang out w/him more anyway. :-)
