No Sleep for the W...
Jan. 4th, 2007 06:14 amIs it wicked or weary? Upside down, of course, W = M which is ME or rather MLE, who hasn't gone back to sleep yet since I woke up several hours back. Mind = buzzing & spinning, all bee-ish and...what-ish...wool-gathering, zzzzooooommmmm. I feel highly caffeinated. It can't be the Eyeball-Laden Froot Loops from the 99 Cent Store, 'cause after eating the bowl for din-din (and several fistfuls for dessert - it's freakin' addictive sh!t) I SLEPT...for a while at least. So, I'm going on 3 or so hours of sleep. Luckily Sleep Dep's my fave drug. ZOOM. Off to Urth Cafe for b-fast in a bit, then packing and taking off for points North (again).
Zoom: Yesterday featured many adventures in Retail. I feel a Retail Rant coming on...but will keep it light and mellow and above-all SHORT. Quite simply: there's far too much cheap-@ss plastic crap and horrific calory-laden crap sold (and consumused) in place of quality lasting products and real food. Consumption of this sh!t SCARES ME. (Yes, I'll eat a bowl/handful now 'n' again for a lark and/or on a whim, but it's not how I always eat. Damn glad I'm not forced by geography or economics to live on faux foodstuffs.) 'Twas a fascinating journey through many levels of Retails Hell: low end (price-wise) w/99 Cent Store, Big!Lots...To Be Cont'd (and prolly not as short as I'd've liked but still shorter than it COULD be)...

Hope our day doesn't suffer for the weariness...

Date: 2007-01-04 10:13 pm (UTC)Hope yours doesn't, 'cause mine sure ain't. I've driven 222+ miles and am now ensconced in the Lompoc PLIB, taking my laptop out for its first WiFi Hot Spot spin and burning compilation CDs for a Dear Friend.
May your sleep tonight be more restful. Do tell, though, which BDSM spy thriller gotcha all riled up, 'cause it sounds gooood?!

Alterna-renaissance-Europe with a spy-courtesan who has a natural aptitude for being a hard-core sub. The plots, intrigue, and lavish attention to detail make these books juicy and epic.
