New Year's Eve W'end On the Central Coast

Off to Sycamore Mineral Springs for Sat & Sun nights. Hot water in a tub beckons. As does great BBQ at F. McLintocks and The Holiday Extravaganza at The Great American Melodrama & Vaudeville.

And I plan on starting off this New Year w/a labyrinth walk...hopefully it won't be under 10' of water like last time I tried this one.

Oh my gosh, I know of all those things!! In fact I used to go to the melodrama all the time for school, and sycamor ehot springs...mmm... I'm so jealous. You lead such an extravagant life my dear.

Yeah, you WOULD know 'bout all these places...anywhere else in 'ticular I should try to hit while up this time (or another)? I'm always up for hints 'n' tips from locals (or ex-locals). I do like my life very much. It's not always quite this extravagant, mind you. Sometimes it's MORE...but oft-times less, too. ;-) (This icon's from NYEve 2K up in Mendocino w/some Central Coast pals. THAT was another delightful time.)

Oh I know of a GREAT place in Pismo Beach (Not sure if you're willing to swing through there) it's called Splash Cafe, and they have the best clam chowder in a bread bowl ever! It's on the main street in Pismo leading to the pier but I totally forgot the name of the street. In fatc, I don't think I ever knew. Also on that street is a pretty amazing old theater turned into a pool joint. So after eating you could play a few games. Or just to look at, it is still pretty amazing. Have fun! Mmmm F. McLintocks

Yay - many thx for the suggestions! I lurv me some good clam chowder in a bread bowl. Is it the place on the right (facing the water) down near the pier? If so, I've eaten there and YUM is right. Either way, I'll check it out sometime (even if not this time 'round).

Yes i think that is the place. There are window seats facing the street and little clams painted all over the walls and stuff. Anyways, hve a good time and happy holiday!
