Dominoes

Shying away from the juggling metaphors in favor of ones involving dominoes. (Houses of cards = right out.) In front of me, reaching out further than the eye can see (even though the mind's eye's pretty wide-ranging), lie (grammar?) a bunch of rows of dominoes. Each row branches out into convoluted patterns. - many interconnected and interwoven. Flow chart-ish. If this, then that, 'cept the THATs are quite varied and numerous and have their own patterns to play off depending on other things. Some of the rows merely await another's action(s) to start the process and reveal the pattern(s).

Keeping flexible. Keeping options open. Having contingency plans. F'rinstance, thank GOODNESS I paid for the extended warranty back when I bought the car. It's gonna end up saving me a mid-level 4-figure chunk o' change. by the end. Since the warranty doesn't cover all that's going on, however, this means that my NYEve w'end plans won't be nearly as extravagant as they might've otherwise been. If Y, then Z.

Time to consider benchmarks. Time to consider goals? Time to skip the "but I couldn't possibly do Q" phase.

Time to get something to eat...
