Surreal. Like it happened to some other person. 'Cept that person's ME...and boyhowdy have things (including me) changed since then. I've come a long long way from that special day. There's no way I envisioned my life now then.
The marriage didn't work out, but the ex is still a dear friend. In fact, he's coming over later today to use the 'puter to post grades 'cause they're having connectivity issues over there. Haven't decided whether I'm even gonna bring up the date and its significance.
And, what's up with pics posting? Are you not able to do it right now?
I've come to think of such transitions as incarnations, kind of like when different actors play Dr. Who. (Or different hosts for the trill Dax.)
happy transition commemoration day. I'll bet there's a hallmark card for this kind of anniversary out there someplace. If there's not, there should be.
I only know what's true for me; that I am who I am today because of where I've been, what I've done and who I've chosen to have in my life. Would I go back? No. Would I change it if I could? Surprisingly, not so much.
I, for one, certainly love the person you are today.
