This sticker's stuck to the top right corner of the bathroom mirror. Found it during the most recent garage-cleansing expedition. More such excavations will happen SOON. Am experiencing a sneeze-attack most foul...or at least most sneezeful and persistent. Stock tip: Buy Kleenex!

Odd that it's been as cold (mid-30s in WA) and wet (much underwater in WA - odd looking over and seeing naught but the tops of trees in the "lakes" dotting Hwy 5) where I've been while apparently quite warm here (SoCal). It's a different life up yonder. One I think I'd like...remains to be seen.

Looked at a lot of property whilst up yonder: everything from miniscule crappy condo conversions for <$200K to a penthouse featured on the cover of a recent issue of some Luxury magazine. $3.6 million's a tad pricey...but whoa...nice digs, even if contemporary ain't so much my thing. Find it fascinating to wander 'round all areas: starter homes for $189K (2 bd/1 ba in St John's), lofts on 11th in downtown PDX, <$1 mil houses w/elevators outside PDX, the Pearl District (w/the luxury penthouses). Fall colours all over the bleeding place: heartbreakingly spectacular! Last night's sunset happened while I was driving up to and through Weed and the town of Mt Shasta looking directly at Mt Shasta which was topped w/clouds but I could see the snow drifts on't and the clouds shifting from white and frothy to lemony to pink as I watched...pics don't do it justice. Tears nearly filled my eyes with loveliness.

SO nice to come home again...looking forward to spending some time here. Heck, I'm not leaving on another trip 'til Monday! (Quickie trip to the Bay Area for my dad's 70th b-day followed by date night back down here on Tu.)

Feeling...all over the farking place...happy to be back here w/the kitties and folks I know and love...confused and bemused and pleased and pondering and expectant 'bout whatEVER's next on my plate which seems to overflow nicely often. SO glad I wandered up to WA for a visit w/Clan Sidhefire (sp)...'twas a wonderful visit w/some damned fine and wonderful folks. The new jacuzzi is truly heavenly...and spontaneous BPAL-a-thon followed by double-batched brownies ROCKED my world! Good to see ya', folks...

Been gone barely a week...feels like months.

Added to the warehouse of stories (not my own so much mind you)...picked up a couple of hitchhikers walking up the mountains way North of Medford...drove 'em for about 1.5 hours then dropped 'em off in Medford w/$20 each for food - and prolly beer and whiskey - heard tell of: heroin, the previous night in jail, hard times galore (mixed w/happy times)...growing up we'd pick up hitchhikers now and again...and hitchhike ourselves now and again.

Life continues to consist of choices we make...options we take...things we try...paths we choose...songs we listen to...dances we shimmy along with...people we meet...stories we tell, ones we hear, those we live...

I don't wanna give up all options. The "easy" ways don't interest me so much. There's a town near Portland named "Boring." I don't wanna end up there...

Tried at some point on the journey to determine whether 'twas a successful adventure. Since I hadn't really set any goals, this was more difficult to determine than if'n I had. But hey, I say FARK GOALS this time 'round. 'Twas an exploratory mission. I now have an idea of where to look for rentals (Hawthorne/Belmont) when I next head back up yonder, prolly January 2007. Earlier if'n necessary (fingers crossed NOT). (Have tix to the Egyptian exhibit at the PDX art museum we didn't make it to this time 'cause we didn't wanna be rushed - it goes 'til March 2007.) SO happy to be HERE now. Wanna move on and along...but for now gonna enjoy here and now. Seems like buying's best waited on, which works.

Pleased b'c it's occured to me that I am indeed living my life according to the Henry Miller maxim: "The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware." I am pleased...and happy...and goooooood. Smiles. Laughter. Joy.
