Lovely w'end camping on the Kern. Kudos to twistedcat for organizing the trip! Hopefully someone'll post pics, 'cause 'twas darned pretty & I'm still functioning digi-cam-less. Ended up taking the short (HA!) way to SJ - via 178 - 99 - 46 - 5 - 152 - 101 - and it still took a bit over five (5) hours. Didn't wanna descend unannounced on friends in Bishop unwashed & somewhat slightly dazed, so will have to head out there another time (prolly in conjunction w/hot springs as our attempt at finding 'em were less than miraculous).

Anyway, there're prolly 1001 tales on LJ from the past w'end...but I need food & shower & sleep...and will head up to SF o'morrow and prolly not have on-line access again for a bit. Returning Wednesday, gawd willing...

Sadly no. Off in the morning to see my step-uncle who's visiting in SF then hanging w/fambily near Berkeley, then need to jet back down on Wed. 'Nother time!
