Blasted Noise

A representative of the city is outside w/a large device that's cutting away at cement to align the sidewalk more properly and get rid of pesky tree roots what've made it get outta line. This sucker is LOUD. I've had my earplugs in 'til now so hadn't realized just how bad it was. So now I'm gonna shower, dress, and blow outta here 'til it mellows out some.

Errr...will getting rid of the pesky tree roots also get rid of the tree? Because I'd pout. With sharp objects. At city employees.

no no no - they've done it before...it just stops people from tripping & falling (and sueing the city) - and the trees on the block are doing just fine & dandily
