Change In Plans

I don't have time to deal with huge long stupid airport security lines & checking & then having to pick up my measly carry-on luggage at baggage claim today and again o'morrow. So...I'm DRIVING to the Bay Area and back rather than flying. Leaving as soon as I've showered, dressed, and re-packed the liquids & gels (toothpaste, shampoo, lipstick) into my bag. Will get back o'morrow afternoon whenever w/a bit of time to rest before driving to Big Bear. Luckily I had the car all gone over yesterday so it's ready to go NOW. Luckily I got ebony_sphynx on the phone before she'd gotten to far on her drive to get me to take me to LAX. What DID we do pre-cell-phone?!

Okay, I'm done being aggro about this and have moved onto to being highly amused. Oh, yeah, best call my step-sis to let her know (a) I won't be able to have lunch w/her even if her 1pm meeting's cancelled and (b) I won't need to borrow her car for tonight. Wheeeeeeee & soon: zooooooooooom!

I must say, what bad timing on their part to try to mess up flights for us...because it's all about us, right? *wink*
Have a fun drive anyhow, it could be pretty. Thanks for the call...and I must agree: what did we do pre-cell phone??? I guess we had more ulcers and migraines, neh?

So, you mean to say, that before cell phones you had to plan to leave the Valley *2* hours before you needed to be on the West Side rather than 1 hour???? Sheesh! All hail cell phone technology!!! Here's to spontenaity and last-minute plan changes!
