Eggs In Baskets

Something just went PING: it's best not to put all one's emotional eggs into a single basket, 'cause if that basket gets worn or frayed or stolen or damaged or changes functions (becomes a hay basket f'rinstance), you're screwed. Royally.

I think of it like a flywheel: something about having enough emotional momentum to keep going from one event to another, so that no single disaster can blow you away.
